I was appointed to the governing body of St Philip’s in May 2007 as a representative of St Philip’s church. I have a daughter in year 6 and a 14 year old son who also attended and as a result of an excellent primary experience is doing well at the Hawthorne’s.
I take a keen interest in the both the academic and personal development of all children throughout the school. I believe that every child should be nurtured to achieve their full potential as God has placed them into the care of the school. I take an active interest in school life by regularly helping on a Tuesday where I gain an insight into all aspects of the curriculum in practice. I am also an active member of the PTA and support many of the school events.
In my professional life I work part time as Research Scientist working within the research division of a multinational pharmaceutical company.
My hobbies include creative baking, touring and caravanning, listening to rock music, attending live concerts, and reading.
