School Council Project

Our School Council representatives 2022-23 joined with a group of school from the STRAND school improvement group to focus on looking at how we can make our school environment safer.  Our representatives identified that our main safety issue was traffic in the local area. To help improve our safety around school, our School Council representatives wrote a letter to parents and carers to remind them about safe driving and parking around school and to encourage them to use other modes of transport. They also designed parking tickets to issue to cars which have parked in an inconsiderate manner.

Project Celebration

Two of our School Council representatives attended the Town Hall to deliver a presentation about what they have undertaken this year to answer the question, 'How can we keep safe?' in our community. We are extremely proud of our representatives, who presented confidently. They had a fantastic opportunity to meet the Lady Mayoress of Sefton as well as visit the council chambers.
