Our church school is an enjoyable, inspiring, stimulating and happy centre of learning. It provides a safe, secure and comfortable environment where people care for others and for their shared environment. Our mission statement, What God has created, we nurture and celebrate in His love, supports our vision of excellence and is the driving force behind all we do. Our seven Christian Values support us in living out this vision where every person is seen as a child of God to be nurtured and celebrated so they may flourish.

At St Philip’s, each child is special. Being a smaller school, we know our children and their families well.  We pride ourselves on the inclusive nature of our school. Supportive and positive relationships between children, staff, parents and the wider community mean that our children are fully supported in all they do. Many of our parents themselves attended St Philip’s school, and a deep sense of community is a particular strength of our school. Lifelong learning is encouraged and valued and we love to celebrate each other’s successes. 

We are very proud of our school, but above all, we are proud to serve the children and families of Litherland, offering the very best educational experiences so every child can find ‘the winner within’.

We enjoy close links with St Philip’s Church community who play an active role in our school. We also work closely with other local schools in the area to ensure that our schools benefit from collaboration with other professionals.
