Arrangements for Admission to school under Sefton's Admission Scheme
Any parent who wants their child to attend St. Philip’s Church of England School should register their child in good time before their child’s fourth birthday on-line at www.sefton.gov.uk/admissions. The online application is available at www.sefton.gov.uk/admissions from
Late Applications
The closing date for applications is 15th January and it is expected that parents will have registered their highest preferred school by that date. For families moving into the area, applications will be considered if the form is received by early March and proof that they have moved is provided. All late applications will be dealt with by Sefton Admissions Section after April in the date order in which they are received. This may result in a preference being refused if the class has reached its maximum capacity of 30.
All parents will be notified by the Authority on 16th April as to which primary school their child has been allocated a place. Refusals will also be sent out by the Authority where appropriate.
Waiting Lists
The Authority will maintain a waiting list for St. Philip’s School.
Applications received after the allocations have been finalised will be passed to the Authority for the Admissions Section to deal with in accordance with Sefton’s co-ordinated scheme. The Headteacher will not at any time write to an individual parent to offer them a place.
